This is the blog to help you prepare for your first mini session. While using pose prompts to get the best results! After you book, complete your session and receive your seasonal must-have photographs.
It’s one of everyone’s favorite times of the year, with intimate family gatherings, thanksgiving parties, school events that bring communities together. This year has definitely turned around socially for everyone. Even if the scale of the events has gone down. The celebration of human connection & having those memorable moments. This year before 2021 closes I’ve been preparing to host my own Christmas mini-event. For the people who don’t have enough time and thanksgiving is literally coming right up in the next week.
This is my guide to preparing for your Christmas minis!
Now after booking me for your session. The first thing that may come to mind: Poses.
When we think about posing, your thought process the best poses are done in actual action. By that, I mean using “Prompts”. This helps create a more genuine and real look to the images and helps you not even realize. Hey! There’s a camera right in front of me. I love using prompts for that reason.
-THE FIRST POSE & PROMPT SECTION-
PROMPTS FOR PARENTS & COUPLES
The great thing about getting the chance to do a mini session. It doesn't take a lot of time in for the day. It feels like a rush just having a fun time with your significant other(BF or GF). It's a great opportunity to bond, be silly and create intimate moments with one another. These prompts/pose ideas have helped capture some of my favorite moments to date.

Whisper in each other ear
Kiss her on the forehead
Have your couple face each other, going into a standin g cuddle with your arms around their neck. Lean onto each others head (result down below)
Stand right beside each other-shoulders touching, holding hands, looking in opposite directions
Standing in the same pose(previous prompt) have both wives lean her head on their husband’s shoulder
Lean on each other while enjoying hot chocolate, looking at each other with your eyes
Walk together-holding hands (looking at each other with your eyes and face facing the camera)
Lean on each other while enjoying hot chocolate, looking at each other with your eyes
FOR FAMILIES
Even though capturing families can be challenging depending on the scenario having prompts. Like these come in the clutch it's more or less showing the different sides to each family dynamic while creating new fun memories.

Do a nice big family cuddle
High five each other
Tell each other a cheesy joke
Walk towards the camera looking at each other
Lay down beside each other
Play tag
Race each other
Tickle the kids
Look at mom and tell her you love her so much
Play peekaboo!
Go and explore the area
Look at each other tell each other the worst joke or dad joke
Give me your best strut (With everyone walking towards me)
