This last week, I decided to do something different. I decided to take a social media break. For how long? To be honest I really don't know it's based on how I feel if it's worth the investment of time in effort on the platform. Ever since I started detaching myself from the web. I've dived into writing and reading again.
With that being said that's why I'm creating this post. If you visit my website often you know that I have a podcast called"Professionally Awkward" run by myself, Jade, and Micheal. They're both my co-host and friends who help keep it real and add extra PAZAZZ to it! As friends would do we hang out, today as I'm writing this I got to hang out with my old coworker, friend, and podcast host. If you know me personally you know I love photographing my friends. Today I got to catch up, have some laughs, and iced coffee. While in the shade of The Lucero that's located right across the tiny trail leading to Star Tower. This spot is a hot spot on the west valley for landscape, portrait, senior photos-YOU CALL IT-People love it. And even better it's now surrounded by a new housing development which faces the Estrella mountains facing east. Depending on where you're looking from.
(Photo for reference down below-Micheal posing midpoint at Star Tower. The camera is faced where the Estrella Mountain Regional Park is located- the mountains in the background)
I've lived in Goodyear, Arizona for six years, and during the time I've developed my life. I've gotten to see how the area has grown in population, more buildings, housing developments. Since then the area has given more variety to photo spots. About two years ago they created Lucero they have a lovely area that has an outdoor area to sit, enjoy your coffee from Cafe Bideddo that's across from the Bike rental shop. This real spot that is the neighbor to the Star Tower Overlook is a great spot to enjoy yourself BEFORE and AFTER you complete a shoot with me.
Here are some examples of work from Star Tower & The Lucero.

This is the view beside the grill and fireplace sitting that you get this great and lovely view of Star Tower in your background. While getting to have shade and comfy outdoor seating it's such a great unwind spot too. When you need some air from hibernating inside all day.

Excuse my bad modeling posing. For reference from the seating and outdoor area from the Lucero building. This trail leads you straight to Star Tower which is about a 2-5 minute walk depending on your pace. During the spring to summer months in Arizona. it gets toasty REAL QUICK. I do recommend if you film, photograph or just stopping by for errands come early to this spot around 7 am-11 am. Or later in the 4-5 pm before the area closes its still going to be VERY hot.

This spot is on the front right side of Star Tower. (FYI-Do not go on the rocks of this river, if you DON'T have good balance. Proceed with caution. The result is splendid though)

If you walk almost fully around Star Tower there's a cut little mental bridge. That really is great when you're trying to create natural lines in a photo. This is especially helpful when working with models/paid clients.
Shout-out to Kaylee who modeled in the photo to the left. Time of day: 5 pm, this was wintertime in Arizona. It was prime weather to be outside comfortablely.
LASTLY!

To top it off here's one of the prime views of why people love to come to Star Tower thats located in Goodyear, Arizona. It provides a variety of unique natural spots to both enjoy as a hike. Its a great spot to capture great milestones big or small. Its grown to be a spot that's timeless. Like the natural area that sourrounds this spot.
